Japan is a very picturesque and contrasting country. Crowded and bright cities contrast with sleepy farming towns, steep mountains and excellent fast trains, all provide wonderful photo opportunities. The food is magnificent (if you like fresh foods and seafood), and for overseas tourists, travel and accommodation is both cheap and easy.
